Christian Schenk

won decathlon gold at the Seoul Olympics in 1988 and became “King of Athletes”. His extraordinary career included winning the 1985 European Championships as well as 3rd place at both the 1990 European Championships and 1991 World Championships. His career on the track came to an end with a personal best in Stuttgart in 1993.

Having studied journalism in Mainz while working free-lance with ZDF television, he founded Christian Schenk Sports agency in 1995. The core competences of the agency are the creation and realisation of sport-marketing and health-concepts. In these fields, the agency realises national projects within a network of clients and partners from business, the health sector, politics, and sport. Hailing from the port city of Rostock, Christian Schenk directed the 2002 Berlin Meeting (ISTAF) and has founded and lead the Sporthilfe-Elite-Forum (centre of sporting excellence) at Schloss und Gut Liebenberg.
