André Lange

3 times Olympic Champion and 4 times World Champion in Bob Sledge. Born in Ilmenau (Thüringen), Lange has nurtured the German tradition of sport. Together with a sports service man from Oberhof, André Lange created the perfect bob sledge. Not only is it important to be in top physical and mental condition, what is crucial in winter sport is the athlete’s instrument. Lange’s precision sledge remained top secret until his then titled “Wunder Bob” was unveiled shortly before the Winter Olympics in Turin in 2006.

Working with the research institute for physical culture and sport FES in Leipzig, he has developed the most effective seating position for the athlete within the wind channel. He has also created the optimal runner and the perfect form for the sledge. His research and techniques have raised standards in winter bob sledge and awakened the interest of many investors.
