Dr. Gottfried Neuhaus
studied industrial engineering with a focus on computer engineering in Berlin. He graduated in 1973 and received a PhD in 1975. He worked for four years as an IT project manager, managing director, and consultant in Hamburg and Saudi-Arabia, before starting the Dr. Neuhaus Computer KGaA in 1979. The company originally produced customized hardware and software for process automation, and converted into a product company in the mid 1980's. It developed a number of pioneering products, including innovative computer modems, PC cards, and fax cards.
In the mid 1990's, Dr. Neuhaus successfully sold his group to a strategic buyer, the French company SAGEM, and ended his activities for the company in 1997. In 1997 he founded Dr. Neuhaus Techno Nord and has acted as its managing partner ever since. He is a member of several boards, among others the Hightech-Gründerfonds in Bonn.
