Dr. Klaus Lesker
Dr. Klaus Lesker has been Member of the Board of Management of MAN Ferrostaal since 2006, heading the divisions Projects and Services; being inter alia responsible for the business segments Solar Energy, Power and Automotive.
MAN Ferrostaal is a worldwide provider of industrial solutions in the plant construction and machinery sectors. As a general contractor MAN Ferrostaal offers project development, project management and financing concepts for the construction of plants in the areas of petrochemicals, oil and gas, gas and solar power plants, biofuels and selected industrial plants. The majority of the shares of MAN Ferrostaal is held by the International Petroleum Investment Company from Abu Dhabi (IPIC – 70%). MAN AG, Germany, is a minority shareholder (30%).
He was born on April 30th, 1960, in Bottrop. Following studies in chemical engineering and chemistry at the RWTH Aachen and his graduation, he joined Uhde GmbH, Dortmund. Until 1998 he served as Director of Sales and Marketing worldwide for the complete portfolio of UHDE’s technology. From 1999 to 2000 he was Member of the Management of Lurgi Oel Gas Chemie GmbH, and from 2000 to 2004 he was Chairman of the Executive Board of Lurgi Life Science GmbH. In 2004, he became Chairman of the executive board of Pharmaplan GmbH, a subsidiary of Fresenius AG, Bad Homburg.
