Eli Talmor

Eli Talmor is a professor at London Business School and founding Chairman of its Coller Institute of Private Equity. Eli was previously a professor of finance at the University of California (UCLA and Irvine) and the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania).

Eli has extensively consulted to corporations internationally, and has been a director of European and American corporations. From 1994 to 1999 he was a director of a NASDAQ software corporation involved in the company’s major turnaround, which resul ted in a stock price appreciation from 3.5 to 52.5 US-Dollars.  In 1999, the company was acquired which became the largest sale of an Israeli company to a foreign entity to that date. He co-founded a holding that owns and operates technological incu bators with over 40 start ups. In May 2006 the holding was successfully floated.

Eli serves on the advisory boards of European Technology Ventures and of the Centre for Entrepreneurial and Financial Stu dies at the Technical University of Munich. He was also on the Board of Governors of London Business School and on the adviso ry board of the African Venture Capital Association. During his term in California, Business Week listed him among the Outstanding Professors in its “Guide to the Best Business Schools.”

Eli holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.Sc. from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
