Joachim Häger
Joachim Häger has been Head of Private Wealth Management (PWM) Germany since June 2007. He is also member of the Global PWM Executive Committee Deutsche Bank AG. He is responsible for client assets of 44 billion Euro (as of December 31, 2008).
He was born on July 29, 1963, in Wuppertal. Following his apprenticeship to become a banker with Deutsche Bank, he commenced his university studies in Business Administration, graduating with the degree “Diplomkaufmann” in 1990. He returned to Deutsche Bank as Executive Assistant to the bank’s Chief Economist, Professor Norbert Walter.
From 1991 to 1997, he worked in the Global Banking Business Division and was responsible for mid-cap corporate client cover age. In 1997, he was given responsibility for expanding and managing business with corporate clients in Eastern Europe and Austria. In 1999, he transferred to the Private Banking area, where he expanded the bank’s business with highly affluent clients throughout Germany. From 2002 to 2005, Joachim was responsible as a member of the Executive Committee of PWM Germany for opera tional business and the strategic development of the business division.
In 2005, he became member of PWM’s Global Executive Committee and took on functional responsibility as the Head of Strategic Business Development for M&As around the world athe expansion of high level advisory offers.
