Regine Eichhorn
Regine Eichhorn was born in 1961 in Berlin. Initially, she trained as a sales person in pharmacy but completed A-levels by evening classes in 1981 and went on to study pharmacy, gaining her degree in 1986. Afterwards she worked in a laboratory.
In 1988, Regine took up a job at Berlin-Cosmetics as a technical assistant. In 1990 she changed her career path by taking a job ina PR agency. There she looked after clients especially in the food and hospitality industries.
In 1991, Berlin applied for the Olympic Games in 2000 and the PR agency Regine worked for got involved in the application process. The job was to promote the idea of the Olympic Games inthe Berlin public. The agency introduced the concept of Olympic Ambassadors and thus Regine got to know Franziska van Almsick. Regine was assigned by the agency as van Almsick’s contact person.
In 2000, Regine left the agency and started working with van Almsick as her agent. She had to relate to the press, answer press inquiries, look after her schedule and negotiate contracts. In2006, Regine became Britta Steffen’s agent. Regine has two children and lives in Berlin.
