Dr. Udo Bub

is co-director of the Innovation Development Laboratory at Deutsche Telekom Laboratories, focusing on R&D-projects in the field of intuitive usability, ICT Infrastructure&Architecture and ICT Security. He studied electric engineering at Technical University of Munich, and later worked as a scientist at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Computer Science in Pittsburgh, specializing in multi-modal user interfaces for human-machine dialogs, especially algorithms for automated speech recognition.

He is university lecturer for systems engineering and has written a variety of international publications and patents. Before taking up his current position at Deutsche Telekom Laboratories, he spent six years working as a management and technology consultant, mainly in the telecommunications industry.
