Prof. Mike Richter

is professor at the University of Applied Studies in Darmstadt focusing on media system design. One of his main research areas is the "unified user interface" – how it can be derived from user understanding and how it creates value for an organization. Before founding iconmobile, he started the strategy consulting practice at MetaDesign, and as a member of the management board was responsible for the competence center strategy/consulting for four years.

Before joining the consulting business, he received a degree in industrial design studying in Germany, England and Denmark. He holds a Master's degree for ID at Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago. Being a native of Ulm, he has design in his blood. Occasionally this will show through when he comes near a flip chart and starts diagramming. Above all he is a proud dad.
