Sören Stamer

founder and CEO of CoreMedia, has led the company since its launch in April 1996. With his commitment to a strategy of long-term success, Sören Stamer has guided CoreMedia along a steady path of purely organic growth. “Sustainability and growth through continuing innovation”: this is the dictum behind all his business activities.

Even as a student of IT and business management at the University of Hamburg, Sören Stamer worked on the business concept for the company, together with Professor Joachim W. Schmidt (today the chairman of the company’s supervisory board), Professor Florian Matthes, and Andreas Gawecki, an IT postgraduate. At the age of 24, he founded CoreMedia. Today, CoreMedia employs a staff of 120, and maintains an international network of implementation partners with over 500 trained consultants. Over 100 companies in 20 countries within the telecommunications, media, industrial and financial sectors successfully employ CoreMedia’s technology.

In 2004, CoreMedia was recognised by Deloitte (FAST 50) as the fastest-growing software company. In the same year, it won ATKearney’s Best Innovator award for the most innovative medium-sized enterprise in Germany. In 2005, Red Herring magazine ranked CoreMedia as one of the 100 most innovative non-listed technology companies in Europe and Israel, in its renowned “Red Herring 100” list.
