Prior to joining Deutsche Telekom Laboratories, Behrend worked as an Investment Manager for Allianz Venture Partners and J.P. Morgan. Before that he worked at the Computational & Biological Vision Lab at USC, Los Angeles.
He obtained his diploma degree in physics from the Ruhr-University, Bochum and his PhD degree in economics with research work on inter-organizational success factors of corporate venture capital companies at the University of Bern.
