Rafael Laguna de la Vera

is a Business Angel and Consultant in the Venture Capital environment, serving as assessor and supervisor in crucial business processes. After successfully driving forth the software development company dicomputer GmbH, in 1992 he was appointed as assessor and subsequently CEO for Micado, a software distribution company. After co-leading the company out of turbulent waters, he became co-partner of the company. When Micado was acquired by PMSC, Laguna de la Vera was appointed as Managing Director Central Europe for PMSC, position in which he successfully prepared and completed the acquisitions of CAF and Dekrú.

Since 1998, he has been working as a Business Angel in the Venture Capital field, on behalf of VC firms like AdAstra, and SwissRe In this position, he has been acting as counsellor, interim manager, and member of advisory and supervisory boards, for companies like asknet, bäurer GmbH, comparis.ch, and SUSE Linux AG. He earned a certificate at Harvard Business School, within the “The General Manager Program”.
