He grew up in Germany and France. He started as an IT and business consultant specializing groupware projects for large customers and medium-sized businesses. The focus of his work has shifted towards finding and implementing solutions for important, often technology-related projects which had "hit a wall". He lived in Oxford and London from 1997 to 2003, where he frequently teamed up with Andy Swarbrick to work on intense and demanding assignments including co-founding two startups. Consequently, he contacted Andy for his groupDNA project which lead to the creation of tickerTXT.
