With more than EUR150m under management we finance and support innovative companies (early stage and expansion phase) which have the potential to become global leaders. HPV currently manages two funds and is focussed on investments in Europe and Israel.
HPV I
In 2005 Hasso Plattner Ventures closed its first fund of 50m EUR (HPV I). With a regional focus on German speaking Europe (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) HPV I targets investments in companies at early or expansion stage. Investors in HPV I include:

HPV Europe
In 2008 Hasso Plattner Ventures closed its latest fund of EUR100m (HPV Europe). The investment focus of our second fund will lie on IT and Cleantech investments throughout Europe (incl. Israel). Investors in HPV Europe include:

HPV Africa
Our sister fund HPV Africa started operation in South Africa in February 2008. It is equipped with approx. 30m Euro from Hasso Plattner and MAN Ferrostaal.
The fund has two essential objectives: Firstly, young businesses are being invested in, which have great potential for speedy growth as well as for establishing themselves in international markets on the account of their innovative products.
Secondly, a special investment focus lies on enterprises in the sector of Social Entrepreneurship and on businesses that provide solutions specific to Africa and other emerging markets. Please get the latest information about HPV Africa at: www.hp-ventures.co.za
