History

Founded on July 1st 2005 in the German city of Potsdam, Hasso Plattner Ventures has set out to support young entrepreneurs with the successful transformation of their ideas into marketable products. SAP co-founder Prof. Dr. h.c. Hasso Plattner provided the lion's share of this investment capital, along with Investitionsbank des Landes Brandenburg and CMEA Capital (HPV I). For our second fund HPV Europe we were able to win two more investors, Shai Agassi and Arnon Katz. 

To date Hasso Plattner Ventures has successfully invested in 19 companies with accumulated revenues of 81.9 m Euro (2010). For 2011 we expect revenues to raise to 136.7 m Euro. Our portfolio companies give work to about 742 employees.

We look forward to further growth with exciting new investments across Europe and following investment rounds for our portfolio companies.
